Final Exams

May 28, 2009 - Academy final exams are coming up soon, June
8-10. For any cadets who want to put in a few extra hours of training before exams, Maya, Betty, and Trey will be available for extra hours in the afternoon next week.

Good luck on your missions!

Dana's Identity

May 14, 2009 - Just to let everyone know, Dana is all right and her identity appears to be uncompromised.

From what we can tell, the Cyber Villains were attempting to obtain a Cadet's identity with their phishing attack in order to infiltrate the Academy's Intranet. Since Dana's was the only identity they were able to capture and she reported it immediately, we were able to shut down her account and prevent any unauthorized access.

However, to add insult to injury, it appears they have drained her account of Academy credits, so if anyone is willing to share some with her she would be grateful.

Phishing Attack Reaches Campus

May 7, 2009 - We have had a few reports of suspicious email messages reaching the Academy. This may be the start of the phishing attack we were warned about.

Unlike other traditional phishing attempts, these messages appear to be custom-made to target Academy cadets. The subject line of these messages is "Problem with your Academy Credits account" and the message body directs you to a fake Web site to enter in your PAL's password.

If you receive any email similar to this, DO NOT enter your information in the Web site and notify Dr. Keen immediately.

Reminder from Officer Ward

May 4, 2009 - In light of recent reports of a Cyber Villain phishing scheme, I want to remind everyone about social engineering attacks and how they use lies and manipulation to trick people into revealing their personal information.

Even though a phishing attack is started by a cyber criminal, they can't steal your information unless you give it to them, so be extra careful with it.

Cyber Villain Attack in Cyberspace

May 1, 2009 - Attention, everyone! We have received news from the Cyber Defenders that the Cyber Villains appear to be planning another large-scale attack.

We have reason to believe it is a collaboration of the Phisherman, the ID Bandit, and M.C. Spammer, so we are expecting some sort of phishing scheme. Everyone be on high alert when checking your email and report any suspicious messages to Dr. Keen.
