Study Hall
I was supposed to meet Yoko and Carlo for dinner last night, and I got so involved working at the Databank that I completely spaced it! They had to come and drag me out of the Web site vault. I was filtering through Internet games Web sites and, well, I started playing a few of them and just lost track of time.
Maya said that she's pleased with how I throw myself wholeheartedly into my tasks, but that I need to remember to come up for air now and then. But there's so many cool and exciting things in Cyberspace, it's almost impossible to stay focused!

Second Place
Well, we didn't win the costume contest, and it's kind of my fault. Carlo and I came up with all sorts of great ideas for costumes, but then I was at the Databank so much last week that I didn't have any time to make my costume. I ended up re-using my Halloween costume, which would have been fine, but then I told Carlo the wrong person to dress up as! Pocahontas May have saved John Smith's life, but she married someone else, John Rolfe! I can't believe I messed that up! If I'd just spent a little more time on research, I would have known that.
The evening wasn't a total loss though. Carlo brought me a dozen red roses and some imported Italian chocolates called Baci - it means kisses in Italian and each one is wrapped in a little love fortune - so romantic!

Valentine's Day Dance
I have a little secret. Well, it's not so much a secret now, so I'll share. I asked Carlo to the Valentine's Day dance! He was a little surprised, but he smiled and said yes. We're meeting up after Commander Omni's Phishing seminar tomorrow to figure out our costumes. I'm so excited!
