It Didn't Work!
August 2, 2010 - I can’t believe it. Despite our best efforts, the Bad Hatter escaped. Worse than that, he transported us even further back in time! Sparky and the other cadets did their best, but it was just too hard to out-trick a master trickster like the Bad Hatter. I’ll tell you what happened.
Sparky saw the Bad Hatter coming down the hall and called out to him. He told the Bad Hatter that he didn’t think the villain was powerful enough to change himself into a program. He shouted, “You dare doubt the power of the Bad Hatter?” and zapped himself into the nearest computer.
Silence. We waited for some explanation of what was happening, but there was no sign of anything going on inside the computer. Then, quietly at first but growing louder every second, I heard spooky laughter fill the room. The Bad Hatter’s voice rang out, “You really think such simple programs could stop me? Ridiculous! Impossible! Impressive! Yes, that’s right, I said impressive! But let’s see how you do with a REAL challenge!”
The room went black, and the next thing I knew we were all standing in an empty field where the Academy will one day stand! A newspaper blew across the grass and stopped at my feet. I picked it up and looked at the date. We’re stuck in 1986 and there isn’t even an Academy to help us!
