I Can’t Believe It!

Oh wow, I never saw this coming! Okay, sorry, let me calm down and tell you exactly what I’m talking about. Jax was having a hard time dealing with the fact that she let the cyber villains escape, and so Officer Ward and I decided to take her on a relaxing walk outside. Jax was in the middle of saying, “I don’t know what’s wrong, I just feel like I’m – ” when a gravely male voice interrupted her.

“Missing something?” We spun around to see who was talking and imagine our surprise when we discovered it was none other than Ex-Commander Nils! He was just standing there, smiling, holding the Dis Guys by the back of their shirts!

“What’s the meaning of this?” Officer Ward shouted.

Nils said calmly “I know these aren’t the villains you lost, but I thought having them under lock and key might help you sleep better at night.”

Officer Ward lunged forward, but Nils threw the Dis Guys in his way and took off running. He escaped, but not before dropping a white envelope behind him as he ran. I picked it up and read it. It just said “I remember our talk. Thank you.”

It mattered! What I said to Nils back in the 1990’s actually had an effect on him! I wonder what this will mean in the future. Is Ex-Commander Nils really going to start being a good guy again?

My Garden!

It’s almost all dead! I can’t believe all that hard work was for nothing! I mean, it’s no one’s fault – it’s not like I expected Jax to be out here weeding and watering with everything else that she was dealing with. It’s just so…frustrating? Yeah, frustrating is the right word. All that effort and careful planning and now all I have to show for it are a few tiny pumpkins and a handful of turnips…and a few beets.

Oh wait, I think there were some nice red tomatoes, now that I think about it. Wait a minute, those weren’t weeds…those were carrot stems! Come to think of it, everything turned out better than expected! I think I’ll make Jax an I-Forgive-You-For-Letting-The-Bad-Guys-Get-Away stew. That’ll make her feel better!
